5 Stories About NAHSAG AT 10 You May Never Have Known

All throughout the just-ended anniversary celebration at University of Ghana, the NAHSAG Gossip bird had been out and about in search of inside news, scoop and all the gossips you never may have heard of. The bird has brought home five hot, sizzling, buzzing stories for your ears only.
If you promise not to tell anyone where you heard it from, here you are…

1.       The Missing Phone

We sailed through the numerous challenges to bring you the debut Face of NAHSAG. All the patrons of the event will testify that even in the midst of the challenges, everything went on as planned. It was entertaining, but the end was nearly marred.

Tensions rose when after the crowning of the queen and her runner ups, a phone went missing!
It turned out to be one of the well-performing contestants who alleged that she couldn’t find the newly-bought cellphone which was in the custody of her stage hand.

This ensued in several minutes of backlashing, fury and obscenity. NEC members looked helpless whiles relatives of the claimant registered their displeasure. Fortunately, it was found the following day and smiles returned to our faces.
I bet you never knew about this.

2.       The Attempt to Call off FACE OF NAHSAG

It has been whispered that members of National Executive Committee were tempted severally to give up on the organising of the much revered Face of NAHSAG pageant. Even though plans were far advanced towards realising the event, the committee was challenged with financial crisis. Inside information indicates that requests for financial support from corporate institutions yielded little or no results.

However, their determination saw them beat the odds to make the event see the day.
How awkward it would have been for the contestants and the general public after all the massive hype!

3.       The Run-Away Contestants

Bet, it may not have occurred to you that 9 contestants were originally intended to contest for the FACE OF NAHSAG title, but we saw only seven.

Miss Antoinette Appeakorang, Womens’ Commissioner has slyly been unhappy with two of the contestants when they declared their intent to back-out. Our informants are still on the go to fish out why Afua Afriyie of Seikwa NTC and Miriam Lomokie of Kintampo College of Health fell out prematurely.

4.       The Secret Dinner

On the list of events scheduled for the celebration was a purported Dinner and FundRaising. However participants at the anniversary report there was nothing of such sort. But the Gossip Bird has some revelations to make.

High definition, secret cameras planted in the environs of the Akuafo Hall captured NEC members doing the dinner on behalf of the thousands of health trainees in the country.
This NEC special treat took place after the Official Commemoration, when they had discharged all participants.

We hear the Coordinating Secretary was specially tasked to drive all members far away from their dinner hide-out.

We would not make a big deal out of it because we suspect the meals were sponsored personally by the President, Frank Amoakohene.

5.       The Nightmares of the MHC, OPV Contestants

Dan Afari-Yeboah, host of the GTV What Do You Know will never be forgiven by two of the Quiz Contestants for putting them under such duress. The competitors had such a hard time giving the full meaning of OPV and MCH respectively as all Ghanaians saw him sweat profusely on national television.

The icing on the cake is the abuse these gentleman have been met with on social media, from their school mates.

Social media platforms were filled with sarcastic comments and memes of MCH and OPV. They were scorned all day.
